According to the United States Census Bureau, Linn County has a total area of 2,309 square miles, of which 2,290 square miles is land and 19 square miles (0.8%) is water. It is located in the Willamette Valley. In 2010, the center of population of Oregon was located in Linn County, near the city of Lyons.

Every year we offer free boat safety inspections to our community!
The safety checks typically take place in May at Bi-Mart locations throughout Linn County. We will have free safety whistles, Sheriff’s Office SWAG, as well as a limited number of FREE life vests available for kids, courtesy of your neighborhood Bi-Mart!
These boat safety checks offer you an opportunity to have your boat inspected to ensure safety on the water!
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office was honored to have 6 veterans from the Veterans Home in Lebanon join us for some shooting at the range. We enjoyed getting to talk to them, help them shoot, serve them lunch, and just give them a morning of fun as a “thank you” for their service!
